Sungai Lee (Ireland: An Laoi[3]) iya nya sungai di menua Ireland. Iya niki ba Gunung Shehy ba garis entara menua barat Kaunti Cork lalu ngelayang ke timur nengah Cork, ke alai iya bepechah nyadi dua ungkup penyauh ti pandak, nempa siti pulau ke endur pusat mengeri Cork digaga, udah nya nengah Palan Penyangkai Kapal Cork ba tebing tasik selatan dunya, siti ari palan penyangkai semula jadi ba dunya, ke nuju Tasik Celt. Pemesai ai Sungai Lee iya nya 1,253 km2.[4] Purata timpuh panjai arus Sungai Lee iya nya 40.4 meter padu sesaat (m3/s).[5]
Nama
[edit | edit bunsu]Geografi ke dikarang Ptolemy (abad ke-2 M) nerangka pasal sungai ke dikumbai Δαβρωνα (Dabrona) tauka Λαβρωνα (Labrona), ke kekadang dianggap nunjukka Sungai Lee.[6] Taja pan bedau disah,[7] nama jaku Ireland ke sungai nya, Laoi, engka datai ari Corca Luighe, ti lalu datai ari ‘Luighe’, anak siku orang kaya Milesian ti sebaka enggau mitos.[8][9]

The origin of the name Lee is sketchy and legend reputedly attributes the name to [..] the Milesians [..who..] named [the area] 'Corca Luighe' [..] The River Lee [..] has had many variations of spelling. In [..] the Book of Lismore, it is described as Luae. It has also been written as Lua, Lai, Laoi and the Latin Luvius
